Info - Nicknamed the ’T-Rex of the Ocean’, the now extinct Mossasaurus was an extremely large carnivorous water lizard. Even a Great White Shark would have been scared to across a Mossasaurus, resembling a giant monitor lizard and growing up to 56 ft (17m) in length. With cavernous jaws, sharp teeth, and giant paddle like feet, the Mossasaurus was a natural born predator, hunting down it’s Ocean prey through smell. At the top of the food change, the Mossasaurus’ diet including everything from fish and birds to turtles and sharks. Fossil discoveries have led scientists to believing that the species inhabited the Atlantic Ocean and many adjacent seaways with fossils fond in Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa and Antartica.
